A passenger stands up to get off an airplane after a 14 hour plane trip and suddenly feels a strong pain in one of his legs. After a 12 hours long car ride from Illinois to Florida, a lady gets up to leave the car and suddenly feels a terrible crushing chest pain as well as severe pain in one of her legs.

These can be the symptoms of a blood clot – and more ominously – a moving blood clot known as a Pulmonary Embolism.
